Let the Summer Begin...

First BBQ of the Summer
Last weekend we had our first official BBQ of the summer. Jake is determined to have one pretty much every weekend this summer...we'll see. We've added a new addition to our backyard, a badminton/volleyball set and we've been playing nonstop. Ever since Memorial weekend when we played with our friends, we've been wanting to play so we bought our own and have been playing every day since.
Of course Jake had to make it official and spray paint the lines so there's no cheating.
He even left the grass long on the lines so there would be no denying if the shuttlecock was in or out! Love Jake's competitive spirit!
We ate yummy grilled chicken and steak for dinner and after we stuffed ourselves, the girls' played while us adults battled it out on the badminton court!

I'm trying so hard to get this baby out. Every time I play this game I have a lot of contractions afterward (about every 30 minutes for a few hours) then they just go away and I'm back to square one. Oh well, at least I'm finally getting some exercise this pregnancy!
It was a lot of fun. Thanks Joe, Anabel, Brielle and Mathias for coming over to play! And it was fun whoopin' your butt on the court. Game on this summer!!!!
Fun in the Sun
Lydia has finally realized that it's warm enough to play in the water so yesterday we got out the sprinklers for her to run around in. I can't believe how much she loves the water; what a perfect summer to have Raging Water passes. She's going to have a blast. But until we do go to the water park, we're just having fun in the backyard!
Let's not forget about Larry. He LOVES the water and he LOVES the sun.
I seriously can't get enough of this cute face! Love her and all of her silly faces!

And last but not least, Jake and Lydia have really been utilizing their Lagoon Season Passes this year. I think they've already gone 5 times so far (they are actually there right now as I type this). Lydia loves "The Goon" and is getting so brave...too bad she's too short for any of the less scary coasters. I know Lydia has so much fun with her daddy and I'm so lucky to have those two to take care of each other while I figure out this whole baby thing again.
Jake and Lydia both love cotton candy (yuck) and always get some when they're there. And of course Lydia loves to show off her tongue from the color she chose that day!!
Here's to a Fabulous and Fun summer!!!
